England Update, Part 5

Christmas is like that bit in Apollo 13 when the astronaut's orbit takes them onto the dark side of the moon and out of radio contact for several frustrating hours. Except of course I am in England, not outer space, and all I lacked was access to a DSL or cable modem rather than adequate oxygen and food supplies. But you get my drift.

When we last left our intrepid explorers it was the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and they were off to the British Museum for some "Kultur":

Aladdin's cave: home to things pinched from across the globe.

Where to start?

How do you gain access to an Egyptian tomb? Just toot and come in. Gedditt?

It only takes a few short years to become a tourist in your home country.

Ancient John Kerry statue.

That's the way to be buried: none of this modern, biodegradable malarkey

And yet, like Tom Hanks and crew, you somehow managed to survive the ordeal.
