This is Not a Baseball Blog 14

Time once again for another visit with the ever-popular looky-likey feature, "This is Not a Baseball Blog".

This round's contestants are:

NESN's Boston Red Sox TV announcers Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy

Johnny and Nick from MTV's "Celebrity Death Match".

Also, can anyone within the NESN coverage area confirm Country Mouse's suspicion that Jerry Remy is so full of Botox that his forehead could be declared a superfund site?

Don't know about the Botox. I do know that I thoroughly enjoy both Don and Jerry and can't imagine what will happen if they ever decide to mess with this broadcast tandem, like they've done on the radio.

This weekend's series must have been hard on you now that you have gone over to the Braves from the Sox. Was the game not on TBS? :)

I want to add that not only do Don and Jerry look like the Celebrity Death Match puppets, the pitch and timbre of their voices are the same.

Don and Jerry are good (even if Remy should stick to baseball and stay clear of inter-gender relations and his "humorous" attemps to customize player's foreign sounding names) and I don't think NESN would be dumb enough to shunt either one out. But I'm sure there was some other guys there before them who were sorely missed when they were fired or retired. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose and all that.

I feel like a sub sandwich. I don't not what it is?

The liquidized sub sandwich that hit Manny last night was the worst, almost as gross as the famous shot of Edgar Renteria feeding Papi pudding inbetween puch-ups a while back.

Hubby and I want to throw Orsillo into the Botox discussion..his extremely high forehead has not one imperfection and you know he does some frowning when Remy goes "bonus nachos miss ah-mee-gos" evey home game. But plastic or not, they do have the best commentary going.
I tried to watch the game on ESPN last night, but RemDog and Don are so much better at the analysis....

Oooh, Orsillo as a bactaria-head; it has possibilities...

I am beside myself right now as NESN is out (and its the only channel that's out) on our local cable. I love the game on radio but tonight I just wanted to veg out drooling.
