Just when you think "as seen on TV", "Not Available In Stores" type TV ads can't get anymore inane, along comes:
I suppose "Piss Off" was still beyond the pale.
And for those of you with particularly incontinent pets or the lack of gumption to let Rover or Mr. Twibbles out (or empty the litter box) you will be glad to know that you can buy "Three Kits (for) $59.97, (plus $23.85 s/h)".
As cat owner Traci testifies at the urinegone website:
"No matter how well I cleaned, my house still smelled like one big litterbox. But with urinegone I just spray and the odor goes away...and stays away."
Good for you, Traci. And seeing as it is for both "pet and people accidents" I sincerely hope your smell issues were caused by a cat not grandma.

Darn!
I guess my Crapaway idea was taken too!
I like crapaway- it sounds like the equivalent of "free swim" for potty training. How about "Cut-the-Crap"?
I used that urinegone and it ruined my carpeting. Now I have a big stain ring from this stuff. Plus it smells like cheap cologne when you spray it on the stain. I couldn't even sleep that night for the odor of the urinegone, plus my dog walked right over and pee'd everywher I sprayed it. So much for it stopping dogs from returning to the same spot. They should have called it "crap my moneys gone"
I just saw this ad too -- and your blog comes up at the top for the search....I suppose they're a well known company! There's even a competitor...www.urineoff.com -- a Commercial Urine War! From the looks of the urineoff website, my money's on the Urineoff!
Amazing: write about piss deoderizer and the world beats a path to your door. I think I'm going to rename this blog "Minty Urinal Cake".
I WAS GOING TO BUY URINE GONE UNTIL I READ ABOUT THE PERSON THAT USED IT AND IT RUINED THEIR CARPET AND THEN THE DOG PISSED ON ALL THE SPOTS THE URINE GONE WAS. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD! I THINK MY CARPET IS RUINED ALREADY FROM ALL THE SPOTS. MY DOG HAS ADDISONS AND HAD BILE VOMIT YELLOW SPOTS ALL OVER WHICH BISSELL'S 2 CAN STUFF WORKED ON,NOT SURE OF NAME BUT TWO CAN STUCK TOGETHER AND IT IS A FOAM. AS FOR URINE, WE THOUGHT THE DOG WITH ADDISONS WAS GOING TO GO TO DOGGIE HEAVEN (HE IS STILL LIVING AN DDOING WELL) SO WE ADOPTED A POODLE,WE WERE TOLD HE WAS HOUSE TRAINED, HE WAS A YEAR AND A HALF OLD WHEN WE GOT HIM, WELL HE PROCEEDED TO PISS ALL OVER THE HOUSE AND IT WAS WORSE THAN THE BILE STAINS! THE WHIPPETT NEVER WHIZZED IN THE HOUSE JUST OCCASIONALLY POOPED. I WISH THER WAS SOME WAY TO CLAN PET STAINS DOE ANYONE KNOW OF AYTHING? I HAVE THE LITTLE GREEN CARPET MACHINE TOO.
Cyndi, I feel for you, I really do. Perhaps dog diapers? Or maybe its not the dogs at all and some member of your family is screwing with you?
You could also electrify your carpet. That would stop 'em.
*sigh* Dammit... and I thought I finally found something I could get to rid my house of cat mess... Guess not. My cat has a bad attitude. He pees on unwanted guests.... Back to drawing board!
I'm going to stop buying cat litter because it's a waste of my money since my cats continue to use the baseboards as a litter box instead. I really need something that actually does get rid of the smell, otherwise I may have to get rid of the cats. Anybody have any ideas?
Put a scented candle up your cat's jacksie.
Plain white vinegar neutralizes urine. You really need to soak the spot. It should be at least twice as wet as when the pee was first deposited there. And the house/room will smell like a jar of pickles for awhile. It's helpful if you have a carpet cleanning machine to "suck" up the vinegar after letting it soak for 15 minutes or so. Chances are, if a pet or human pees on the carpet, they have already stained or damaged the sub floor, so how much more damage can you do with vinegar? I haven't had vinegar stain my carpet, leave a "ring or anything else yet. ANd I tried so many other products that made me ill with the perfume cover smell that I welcome the natural odor of vinegar over any other smells.
Products don't seem to work well unless i keep using them.so far i agree with above comment that vinegar works best but i spread lots of baking soda and work it down into the carpet before i add it.I have one of those old floor polishers with the two heads on it and have that handy while i pour the vinegar on the carpet.then i use the polisher and scrub the carpet till the motor seens liek it has had enough.I only do about 3x4 feet at a time.I put towels to dry it and vacume when it is dry a day later.
So far so good
